WORT HOG BREWERS - COOPERS SUMMER BEER FESTIVAL 2002

Saturday 13th April 2002 saw the WORT HOG BREWERS host their second ever 'Summer Beer Festival'. In 2002 the festival was co-sponsored by Coopers Homebrew and Dispensetech / DraftCraft and both companies gave us a good show on the day of their offerings to the homebrewer.
The 2002 festival grew to twice the size of the first one held in 2001 and saw twenty independent brewers or homebrewers dispensing their best to some 300+ guests. On the day we saw 36 different beers being offered and a volume of 981 litres to be tasted ! So I think you'll agree that we achieved our primary objective of letting people know what good beer is all about through a celebration of brewing prowess ! The pictures that follow are a collection of contributions from 4 different people who managed to find at least some time during the day to record events. I must be honest though that most of the pictures were taken early on when we were first open and then later on when the raffle draw was being held, so we really didn't capture the hoards who enthusiastically emptied our stocks during the middle part of the day . . . maybe next year we'll be more alert and take plenty of pictures throughout the day !!!
